How to use our free cybersecurity tools
Pick a check
Choose the tool that answers your question, or use the table above.
Enter a domain, IP or link
Some tools need an input. The IP Lookup and leak test can check your own connection with no input at all.
Read the result and fix it
Each result explains what it found in plain English and what to change, then lets you run the check again.
What our tools can and can't tell you
Each tool checks one set of signals, such as a certificate, a DNS record or a link's redirects. A good result means those signals look right. It doesn't prove a device, website, email or connection is completely safe.
Only check websites, domains and IP addresses you own or have permission to assess. DNS records and SSL certificates are public, so checking those for any domain is fine. For business-critical systems, follow up with a full security assessment by a qualified professional.
Cyber security tools FAQ
What are cyber security tools?
Cyber security tools are software and online services that help you find and fix security weaknesses. Examples include checking whether your VPN leaks your IP address, whether a website's SSL certificate is valid, or whether a link is a phishing attempt. CyberScop's tools focus on checks anyone can run in a browser.
Are CyberScop's cybersecurity tools really free?
Yes. All 8 CyberScop tools are free and need no account. Fair-use limits apply only to automated or bulk use.
Which free cyber security tool should I start with?
If you use a VPN, start with the DNS & WebRTC Leak Test. If you run a website, start with the SSL/TLS Checker and Security Headers Checker. If you send email from your own domain, start with the Email Security Checker.
Do I need to install anything?
No. Every tool works in your web browser. The leak test runs its checks inside your browser, and the other tools run on our servers and show you the result.
Can I check a website I don't own?
You can look up public information such as DNS records and SSL certificates for any domain. For anything deeper, only check websites and systems you own or have permission to assess, as set out in our Terms of Service.
Does a good result mean my website or connection is safe?
No. Each tool checks a specific set of signals. A clean result means those signals look right, not that every risk is gone. Keep software updated, use strong unique passwords and turn on two-factor login as well.
Do you keep the domains, IPs and links I check?
We do not keep your lookups against your identity. Standard server logs are kept briefly for security. The Privacy Policy explains the details.
Not sure where to start?
Run the DNS & WebRTC leak test. It takes under a minute and shows what your connection gives away.
